A bit about myself, if you don't mind.

Well, I'm not very good at being complimentary of myself, but I'll give it a go.

I am a late 20's mother of a beautiful autistic boy named Daniel.  He is my complete world, and my inspiration (as well as my best model!).  I've been searching for an outlet for my creativity, as well as a way to 'cope' with the daily stressers of being a mom to a special needs child.  Photography has been that outlet for me for the past few years, but it hasn't been until recently that I decided to actively pursue ways to 1., become better at photography, and 2., perhaps make a bit of money from my hobby in order to upgrade my equipment.  I've been shooting my photos for the past year and a half on a 'free' Samsung 8.1 megapixel digital camera that I won in a photography contest through a radio station, and "Sammy" has been one of my best friends.  I daresay, we are inseparable!

I love music, film, books, traditional art (sketches, and the like), in addition to photography.  I went through phases where I wanted to do pretty much all of those mediums as a way to express myself, but sadly, I neither had the innate aptitude, nor the ambition, to pursue those career paths.  I feel that photography is more my style, laid back, low-maintenance... easier to achieve.  I have a keen eye for what I feel makes a good shot, and hopefully upon viewing my galleries, you feel the same.

My hobbies include photography (obviously), gaming, drawing, messing around in Photoshop (I am completely selftaught), audio editing, and reading.  I am very selective about what television programs I watch, as I like to be stimulated intellectually rather than comedically.  I enjoy most rock music, and have a penchant for complex guitar solos.
